Alabama Fusion Center
The Alabama Fusion Center within the ABI is staffed by full and part time
members from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
There are analysts, sworn officers and subject matter
experts who take information from various sources, conduct analysis and ensure
all pertinent information is provided to relevant partners in a timely manner.
The Law Enforcement community has access to the fusion center by ALACOP, email,
or telephone. Intelligence and Situational Awareness reports and alerts
are disseminated through ALACOP.

The Alabama Fusion Center is a center of collaborative information–sharing
efforts to gather resources on collecting, integrating, and evaluating information
of all kinds that have an effect on detecting criminal or terrorist’s related
activity. The Alabama Fusion Center is an intergovernmental bridge between federal,
state & local entities, that enable law enforcement, public safety, emergency
management and other partners to mutually aggregate, analyze and disseminate
criminal and terrorists – related information.
Goals and Objectives
• To support the Alabama Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) strategy of
providing protection to citizens and maintaining the economic stability of Alabama.
• To significantly increase awareness and the state’s ability to deal with threats.
• To communicate pertinent information to all appropriate local, state, and
federal authorities throughout Alabama and, as appropriate, throughout the nation.
• To eliminate interagency barriers by sharing information among partners.
• To provide participating agencies with uniform information sharing capabilities.
• To strengthen our human infrastructure and expand the reach of the state’s criminal
justice information-sharing capabilities.
