CyberCrimes Unit
The CyberCrime Unit within the Alabama Bureau of Investigation Division is made
up of members from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and other Agents
with specialized training in Fraud investigations. These Investigators are housed
throughout the State of Alabama and conduct a variety of criminal investigations.
As technology increases, so does the demand for training of these Investigators.
When they are not working criminal investigations, they are attending training in
an attempt to stay abreast with the changing technology of today’s world.
The members of this unit perform a variety of functions:
Child Exploitation Investigations / Fraud investigations
Cybertip Investigations / Internet Service Provider Complaints
Computer Forensics
Public Education / On-Line Safety Presentations
