Crime Response Unit
The Alabama Bureau of Investigation Crime Scene Response Unit is a self-contained
evidence collection vehicle, capable of working in a variety of weather conditions.
The vehicle contains a variety of evidence collection bags and envelopes; evidence
marking equipment; a roof air conditioner; an auxiliary interior compartment heater;
a generator; 35mm camera; camcorder; bio-hazard bags; hand tools; and, other assorted
equipment. Currently, ABI has six of these vehicles in strategic locations in the
State:
