The Administrative Division — one of six DPS divisions — implements policies and
procedures and provides a variety of services necessary to the smooth operation
of the department. These include the Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center, Financial
Services, Inspections, Legal, Personnel, Public Information and Recruiting.
In addition to providing essential support services to the Department of Public
Safety, the Administrative Division also directly serves the public in a variety
of ways. The links on this page — and throughout DPS’s Web site — will take you
to some of the information and services these units provide.
The employees of DPS’s Administrative Division are eager to be of assistance, embodying
in their work the department’s motto since 1935: “Courtesy, Service, Protection.”
