Clinton will be remembered by family and friends as "The one that could always make you smile." His smile was contagious. Clinton loved to entertain. He was a clown, an impersonator and a joy to be around. His caring, loving and giving nature was very evident. Clinton was extremely popular. Everyone wanted to hang out with him. He was a friend to all. He had a need to make sure that everyone around him felt special and wanted. He really was an exceptional person. He had his bad points, also. He loathed school and homework. We had to stay on top of him when it came to school. He also stayed gone from home a lot because we didn't have anywhere nearby to skateboard. He stayed with his best friend almost every weekend so they could skateboard. We missed him being around, but at the same time, we wanted him to be a kid, enjoy himself and develop his skateboarding skills.
He will also be remembered for his skateboarding ability. He was a natural on a skateboard. He lived and breathed skateboarding. He dreamed of someday becoming a professional skateboarder. We will all miss seeing him skating and perfecting tricks or just walking around carrying his board, looking for the next obstacle he could conquer. Clinton went out of this world doing what he loved the most ... skateboarding. He was hit by a motorcycle while skateboarding on Looney Road just around the corner from our home. In 13 years (just short of 14), Clinton had lived a full life, touched the hearts of many people, fulfilled his purpose on this earth, and has now gone to be with God.
I miss the way he would always hug and kiss me goodbye, even if his friends were watching. Clinton didn't mind showing his feelings and letting those he loved know that he loved them. I am truly blessed as a mother to have had him as my son.
Clinton is the son of Sandra and Harry Hawkins and Jeff Roberts; brother of Holly and Jaron; stepbrother of Nathan, Donnie and Chad; uncle of Anna, James and Ethan.
Our boy with the long beautiful hair, shining blue eyes and smile that brought joy to so many will be missed for many reasons by many people.
Clinton, we all love you so very much and miss you!
